Why this split
The free tier isn't bait
Most of our users are 13 to 18 and can't put a subscription on a card. If the free version couldn't change a schedule, it wouldn't be worth building. So everything that helps you pick next year's classes is free: the survey, the reasoning, the grade-by-grade plan, and the watch-outs.
Pro is the two things that cost real money every time they run, an advisor that knows your situation, and going out and reading your specific school's course catalog so your plan can be checked against what's actually on offer. Those get better results because they know more about you, not because we held the good version back.
Questions people ask
- What happens when the trial ends?
- You go back to Free. Nothing you made is deleted, your results, your saved directions, your plan and everything you checked off stay exactly where they are. You just stop being able to open new advisor conversations and re-run school research.
- Do I need a card to try Pro?
- No. We don't ask teenagers for payment details to try a study tool. The trial simply expires.
- Can my school pay for this instead?
